Metal-Free Dentistry Woodbridge

metalfree1We want to improve your smile with functionally strong teeth that resemble the beauty of your natural teeth. If you have cavities or have experienced decay, your teeth may need some form of restorative dentistry. At Today’s Family Dentistry, our metal-free dentistry services give Woodbridge and Vaughan area residents the option to preserve the beauty of their natural teeth, while repairing the function of their bite. These include but are not limited to:

White Fillings

Silver and gold fillings used to be our only choices for restoring your damaged or decayed teeth but advances in dental material technology have created strong new synthetic tooth-coloured restorative materials that help you look your best.

White fillings eliminate the risks that may be associated with older mercury-containing amalgam fillings while offering a cosmetic benefit as well. They can be matched to your natural tooth colour. Recent advances have made white fillings stronger, longer lasting and better than ever. To learn more about metal-free white fillings, please contact us.

Porcelain and Zirconia Crowns

We offer all-ceramic porcelain crowns. Unlike metal-based crowns of the past, our all-ceramic crowns are crafted using layers of porcelain that not only protect your remaining tooth structure, but look more realistic than metal-based restorations. In much the same way that porcelain dental veneers are crafted, the porcelain in crowns is layered to create the most realistic ceramic restoration. Because of this careful process, light is able to move through the semi-translucent material in much the same way as it does in your natural teeth.

Porcelain and Zirconia are extremely strong and durable, and will last for years!

Free Crown Consultation

Metal-based crowns are known to erode along the gumline, exposing a dark line of metal at the base of the tooth. At Today’s Family Dentistry, we use only metal-free crowns in our restorative dentistry procedures. Our patients often report that friends and family can’t tell their crowns from their natural teeth, and that they are confident their bite is stronger because of the porcelain crowns.
